The Community Manager, Network Management will lead engagement and growth strategies for key expert populations within GLG’s Network, with a focus on the Energy & Industrials (EI) sector. This is both a strategic and execution-focused role — ideal for someone who enjoys owning a vertical, solving problems, and driving measurable impact through both thought leadership and hands-on execution.
This role is responsible for driving the health and value of the Network by improving expert activation, retention, and client impact. The Community Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including Network Management, Member Success, Product, Engineering, Client Solutions, Events, and Marketing to enhance expert experience and deliver commercial value aligned to GLG’s broader strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Community Manager, Network Management will be responsible for the following:
End-to-end population management
· Act as the internal subject matter expert and strategic owner of the Energy & Industrials expert population, identifying commercial opportunities and building internal awareness of the sector’s nuances and priorities
· Develop and execute population-specific engagement and retention strategies to ensure Network Members are discoverable, high-quality, and ready to engage with GLG clients
· Quantify demand for and supply of Network Members in the EI sector based on the needs of the business
· Conduct gap analyses to identify and address areas for new recruitment, expert activation, or improved targeting
Network Member advocacy
· Serve as the voice of Network Members within internal teams, advocating for improvements to their experience throughout the lifecycle
· Partner with Member Success, Product, and Engineering to enhance onboarding, matching, and retention workflows for EI experts
Internal collaboration and optimization
· Partner with Client Solutions, Data, Product, Engineering, and Member Success to coordinate expert-related initiatives and ensure alignment across teams
· Ensure EI experts are surfaced and effectively used by GLG clients, improving utilization and impact
Insights and best practices
· Gather insights from managing the EI population and share learnings across the Network Management team to shape playbooks and scale best practices
DESIRED OUTCOMES
- Increase engagement within the EI expert population, as measured by metrics such as accept rates, invite/paid ratios, and total project volume (TPV)
- Reduce missed demand for the population, working with data analytics and the client segments to measure and track.
- Increase number of unique Network Members actively contributing to captured demand, as measured by utilization rate of the population. This will involve both recruiting new members into the population, activating existing members, and ensuring the population is discovered and used by GLG clients.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- 5–7+ years of experience in a product, marketing, program management, or similar capacity
- 3–5 years of post-graduate work experience in the Energy & Industrials sector or a related field (e.g., energy, manufacturing, engineering services, logistics and supply chain, utilities, clean tech, oil & gas, infrastructure, transportation, or construction), with a strong grasp of industry dynamics, roles, and terminology
- Familiarity with expert types, knowledge needs, and commercial trends within the Energy & Industrials vertical
- Strong data fluency — able to interpret and use quantitative insights to drive decision-making
- Demonstrated performance and business judgment in areas such as client service, project execution, relationship management, or business development
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Creative thinker with an adaptive mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Effective communicator and collaborator with experience driving cross-functional change
- Proficient in PowerPoint and comfortable presenting to senior internal stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
