TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 100 senior executives who are users of payment platforms in their business across Europe, US, and the MENA region. This is the seventh iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • The survey assessed the current state of the fintech payments space, focusing on usage trends, vendor selection criteria, and leading concerns around platforms like PayPal, Apple Pay, and Stripe.
  • The survey also examined the integration of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services, tracking current adoption, barriers to implementation, and future rollout intentions.
  • Lastly, respondents offered views on expected industry evolution, including regulatory developments, increasing market consolidation, and the influence of artificial intelligence and related technologies.

Examples of findings:

  • Nearly four-in-ten (39%) respondents stated they are likely to change payment processors within the next 3 years.
  • 30% of experts consider Apple as the company with the biggest impact on the payment sector over the last 3 years, followed by PayPal (28%).
  • 50% of respondents agree that AI & machine learning will have a major impact in the payment sector over the coming years.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Daniela Sozzi, former Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at CashFlows Europe Limited.

This survey is available to subscribers of the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) or Financial Business Services (FBS) sectors  (Limited subscriptions and above). Please note that some respondents may not be Network Members, and the Terms and Conditions of Network Membership would not apply to such respondents and detailed records for them will not be available aside from the information that GLG capture in the Network Survey.
