SURVEY DETAILS
TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 50 senior and mid-level executives working within European airports across the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. This is the third iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on forecasts for passenger volumes over the coming years and how these projections have evolved.
  • The survey explored key drivers and barriers influencing the recovery of the aviation industry, alongside expectations for airline flight frequencies and route offerings over the next 12 months.
  • Lastly, the respondents provided insights into which European countries are considered to have recovered the fastest, based on air traffic volumes and geographic reliance on air travel for both business and leisure.

Examples of findings:

  • Over 50% of experts expect the airline service frequency of Q2/2025, Q3/2025, and Q4/2025 to remain the same.
  • Close to two-thirds agree that Spain is among the first countries to have recovered in terms of dependence on air travel due to their geographic location.
  • 58% of experts consider the digital transformation one of the main factors contributing to recovery of the aviation industry.
