TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 healthcare professionals and hospital staff involved in medical billing who are users of RCM, across the US, UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the current level of use of AI in RCM and the expected timeline for its full adoption in the healthcare industry as well as considerations for selection of AI enabled RCM vendors including KPIs and preferences.
  • Further, the research gathered insights on the impact/benefits of using AI in RCM and the challenges faced including patient data privacy concerns and impact on labour market.
  • Lastly, the survey looked into the competitive landscape in the AI enabled RCM market, including the vendors currently in use and respondent’s satisfaction with them.

Examples of findings:

  • Close to half (46%) of experts anticipate a full adoption of AI in RCM over the next 2-4 years.
  • Close to one-in-two (47%) respondents consider data privacy risks along with employees’ resistance to change as the main challenges faced when using AI in RCM.
  • Over six-in-ten (61%) respondents are willing to send data to RCM vendors for use in AI tools.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Anurag Mehta, CEO at Omega Healthcare Management Services.
