GLG is looking for an outstanding professional to join our Communications & Corporate Events team. The Communications Associate will help create content, support events, and implement communications strategies that inform, engage, and motivate a global internal audience of approximately 2,500 employees as well as GLG’s external community around the world. 

 This individual will be responsible for partnering with the entire Communications team, as well as other stakeholders throughout the company, to advance GLG’s culture and strengthen global connections across the business.  

 The ideal candidate will have a background that combines creative talent with a keen eye for detail and a focus on excellence, as well as a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

 Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Partnering with the global Communications & Corporate Events team to execute internal communications that create connections across our business and drive GLG’s culture of excellence forward. 
  • Contributing to content and events designed to engage GLG’s external audience of clients, experts, prospects, and alumni, among others. 

 

Internal communications: 

  • Manage company intranet, including content workflow and editorial calendar, to engage and inform employees globally. 
  • Publicize employee-affiliated cultural events with calendar invitations, post-event recaps and recordings, and newsletters. 
  • Plan, write, and edit internal announcements and articles.  
  • Help produce hybrid town hall meetings for global and segment-specific internal audiences, with the goal of driving employee engagement through strong and frequent leadership communication. 
  • Support visual presentations. 
  • Support on-site run-of-show production with IT and external vendors. 
  • Strengthen the GLG brand internally, including by producing in-office communications (such as PowerPoint slides and flyers) and serving as a resource for employee programs (such as supporting employee resource groups with ideation and graphic design). 

 External communications: 

  • Contribute to external communications strategy and branding on social media platforms. 
  • Develop engaging content for company’s LinkedIn and Instagram profiles. 
  • Partner with external vendors to coordinate video and photo production. 
  • Archive videography, photography, and internal company history to ensure accessibility across teams. 

 

Corporate events: 

  • Support logistics for leadership offsites, client engagements, internal productions, and other events, including by sourcing venues, presenting options, contracting, and day-of production. 
  • Travel to events and contribute to onsite event teams. 

 

An ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • 2-4 years of experience implementing strategic internal and external communications programs. 
  • Experience in an agency setting, journalism/reporting, communications, or a related enterprise, with demonstrated ability to carry out the above responsibilities.  
  • Creative design skills, including experience with Canva or Adobe creative suite and video production platforms. 
  • Proven writing skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.  
  • Ability and ambition to work quickly, flexibly, and effectively under pressure.  

 

Other requirements: 

  • Ability to lift items up to 20 lbs. 

 

The specific parameters of the role will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$68,200$85,000 USD
